Growing up on a Murray Valley horticultural property, Cameron Atkins was always going to return to a career on the land. After completing a Marketing Degree at Monash University and spending 7 years in IT and Telecommunications, Cameron commenced studying winemaking at Charles Sturt University in 1997, whilst gaining experience at Hardy's Tintara in McLaren Vale. Before commencing employment as winemaker with Elgo Estate in 2003, Cameron also worked in Mudgee, the Yarra Valley and Oregon in the USA.
A boiler maker-welder by trade, Dennis' passion for wine began 20 years ago when he began making his own wine at home. This passion prompted him to begin his winemaking degree by distance education with Charles Sturt University. In 1996, Dennis began employment with Brown Brothers as a cellar hand. He graduated from CSU in 2000, and so began his winemaking career. He has since been employed at Boyntons in the Ovens Valley and McGuigan Simeon. Dennis joined the Elgo Estate team at the beginning of 2005 and was initiated into vintage almost immediately.
