100% estate grown, these are wines of elegance and finesse, demonstrating complexity and intense varietal characteristics. Winemaker, Cameron Atkins, employs traditional winemaking techniques that are supported by modern technology. Careful handling is employed throughout the winery to capture and preserve the unique expression of the Elgo Estate vineyards.
Of Gaelic derivation, Elgo was the name given to the grazing property upon which the winery and main vineyard now reside. Many of the properties in the area have names of Scottish heritage, as the rugged landscapes of the Strathbogie Ranges reminded early settlers of their homeland within the Scottish Highlands.
