A single-vineyard wine, very pale straw/green in appearance, the Elgo Estate 2006 Riesling expresses delicate aromas of lime juice, lemon pith and green apples. On the palate there are pure lemon and lime juice characteristics supported by mouth-watering acidity. This single vineyard wine has a beguiling nose of white peach, grapefruit, fig, roasted cashews and vanilla cream and a rich but balanced creamy palate that finishes with zippy acidity. Our 2006 Elgo Estate Shiraz is deeply coloured and possessing a rich, lifted aroma of ripe blood plum, black cherries, blackberries, black pepper, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The wine fills the mouth with rich ripe plum, blackberries, glacé cherry fruit and sweet spices. Abundant fine and ripe tannins coat the mouth, conferring an attractive shape and impressive length to the fleshy,full-bodied palate.
